HIPS: Strong, rigid, dissolves in limonene (lemon juice/lemonade)

  • Average cost: $35 per kg, $0.03 per gram
  • Still fairly new, not widely available

Kapton Tape: Allows printed material to stick to printing surface

  • Average cost: $0.05 per cubic cm
  • Available in a variety of thickness and thermal tolerances
